A Delaware corporation with headquarters in the RTP area of North Carolina, USA.  Our Team includes only experienced: Management, Software, Mechanical, Electrical/Systems Engineering, and Sales & Marketing professionals.

What We Are

A touch screen technology solutions provider. The zTouch™ technology is developed/mature and is now in the commercialization and customer acquisition phase.

What We Do

We develop, market, and sell touch technology solutions consisting of: Components, Systems, and Knowledge for a uniquely positioned and protected touch screen technology.

Our Product

Force-based touch screen technology (zTouch™). Product includes F-Origin Force Sensors, zTouch™ MCU, Knowledge. The Knowledge is typically transferred as NRE projects.

Unique

"Force-based" touch screen technology is not new however, F-Origin is the first company to successfully demonstrate commercial implementation via our unique and proprietary zTouch™ solutions.  Extensive research in mechanics, software development, and the market segments we serve have enabled the zTouch™  technology’s unique and brilliantly simple solutions and IP to be brought to fruition to serve our customers most stringent requirements.

1980 – 1990
IBM and other companies developed force-based touch screen product concepts without market success.

2000
MyOrigo (Finland) reinvented the force-based touch screen for an advanced User Interface for their Smartphone.

2004
MyOrigo is sold to the management and restarted as F-Origin, Oy.   Microcell/MyOrigo is sold to Flextronics.

2005
F-Origin Oy. files for bankruptcy and US investor purchases the bankruptcy estate.

2006(Q4)
F-Origin, Inc is formed and initially funded (Q4.2006).

2007 – 2008
zTouch™ is developed

2009(Q4)
F-Origin is restructured with new board of directors and ownership. First customer product with zTouch™ is industrialized by TPK.

2010
With commercially ready product, F-Origin aligns sales strategy and enters into customer acquisition phase.

Anders Molne, CEO & President
Anders has more twenty years of experience managing products and organizations in the telecom and consumer product industries.

Prior to F-Origin, Anders managed the portfolio of revenue generation products for Motricity, and helped secure funding for a new product segment.  Anders was a consulting VP of product management for Akira Technologies and directed product management for Motorola mobile phones and Bonita Software.

Anders has held multiple positions in business development, sales & marketing and product management for Ericsson. He introduced Ericsson GSM phones in the Americas, growing sales from $0 to $300 million in three years and  Maintaining a 45% market share. Anders has managed billion dollar product lines and product portfolios.

Anders earned his Master in Engineering (Industrial Organization & Management) at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. He holds ten mobile communication and user interface related patents.

David Griffith, Vice President, Engineering
David has significant expertise in assessing product manufacturability, including design review, mechanical design tolerance analysis, process improvement, supplier auditing & evaluation and transitioning to China-based manufacturing.

David was formerly the Vice President of Product Development at Strax Inc., with responsibility for the mobile phone accessory business unit in the US. He established Joint Ventures in China, created technology roadmaps for the US and European divisions and developed purchasing contracts with international suppliers. As the Senior Manager of the Platform and Server Design Group at Tekelec, he oversaw all mechanical platform product development, including UL and NEBS testing procedures.

David held multiple positions at Ericsson USA, including Director, High Volume Management and Senior Technical leader of a mechanical design team.

David has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Gary Hayes, CFO & Head of Administration
Gary is a seasoned financial executive with over 35 years of experience across multiple industries. He is currently Managing Director and Co-Founder of Scale Finance LLC which is a leading provider of part time CFO and Controller support along with transaction advisory services to small and medium system companies primarily In North Carolina.  Gary has also held senior financial management roles with Ateb, KOZ .com and Saga Software where he provided leadership in raising growth capital, managed multiple acquisitions and implemented systems to improve efficiencies and reduce cost.

Gary has his MBA from the University of Maryland and his CPA also from the State of Maryland.

Gary is  very active in the local community by being an instructor for the Council for Entrepreneurial Development Fast Trac Tech program, UNC Kenan Flagler’s,  Launching the Venture Program and as a guest lecturer at the UNC and NC State undergraduate business school.

 

Flint Bradley, Head of Sales & Marketing
Flint has over 31 years of diverse semiconductor and general electronics industry experience.    He has held several cross functional roles in varying operational aspects of the industry from research and development through quality and reliability, with a first half emphasis in product engineering, operations, and manufacturing.   He has set up and managed off shore and domestic manufacturing lines.   The most recent 16 years of his career has been in sales/marketing.    He has contributed in positions at larger fortune 500, midsized, small, and start-up companies.

Flint was recently a Sr. Director of Sales at STEC.   He has also held Area Sales Management roles supporting consumer, retail, industrial, and high-rel/military customers and markets from direct and manufacturer’s representative perspectives. 

Flint earned a BSEE with an emphasis in microelectronics processing and operations at Arizona State University.
