As mentioned in our earlier post, we’re going to the SID Display week in the middle of May, and as most of you know, the middle of May is right upon us.

SID, or Society for Information Display, each year hosts ‘Display Week’, a big symposium, conference and exhibition. This year the event takes place in Los Angeles May 15th-20th. F-Origin will participate for the second consecutive year and we are quite thrilled about it!

As for right now, most pieces are falling into place for the show. We’ve designed new roll-ups, configured the layout of our booth and managed to become one of the speakers of the exhibitor’s forum. Now it’s just to print our marketing material, find some nice company shirts and we are good to go.

The display week attracts the whole information display industry, and this years’ focus, except touch technology off course, will be flexible displays, 3D displays, green technology etcetera. The exhibit will simply include all the latest technology around information displays and we are proud to be a part of that!

Display week offers a lot beside the exhibition itself, there will be numerous speaking sessions (including our own, off course) giving supreme insight into the different focus subjects of the show. The exhibitor’s forum will include over 40 sessions, and on top of that there will be multiple keynote sessions with representatives from DreamWorks Animation studio, University of Santa Barbara and Kelo University, Tokyo.

So if you’re visiting SID Display Week, don’t hesitate to visit our booth and discuss force-based touch technology with us. You’ll find us in booth #1057 and we promise to have some quite neat demos up on display.

For more info about the show, please visit www.sid2011.org/ where you can find opening hours, directions and listing of all the other exhibitors. We do have a limited amount of guest-passes for the show, so let us know if you’re interested in joining us, and we might be able to help you out. With a bit of luck our twitter account (@forigin) will be a bit more active during this period as well, bringing you live update through the exhibition.
